MINUTES: The January 17, 2009, meeting minutes are on our website at, www.wgipoa.com
MEETING: The next meeting will be on February 21, beginning at 8:30 AM for coffee and donuts and 9:00 AM for the meeting at the Moody Gardens Hotel in the Vine Room (first floor).
PROGRAM: Bob Stokes, President of the Galveston Bay Foundation, will be our guest speaker and report on and show Hurricane Ike’s terrible damage to Galveston Bay’s and the ecosystem.
ANNUAL MEETING: The February 21 meeting will also be our annual meeting for all the member property owner associations and their members and the start of our tenth year as an organization. The public and other interested parties are more than welcomed to attend. The West Galveston Island Property Owners Association was organized in 1999 to promote issues of interest to property owner associations and their members, particularly preserving and protecting the gulf and bay shorelines and the quality of life as the west end continues to develop.
Sea Turtles Donation: The HEART (Help Endangered Animals – Ridley Turtles) organization needs your help to protect the endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle.
